3 "Musts" to keep and increase your motivation for training

1. Set goals
Setting goals is a training tip that comes up often but is very effective when it comes to motivation.
Whether it's to get in shape or to keep fit, to prepare for a marathon or to increase your muscle mass, the goal you set for yourself must have the motivating power that will push you to go to the gym and to train you week after week. Choose one specific goal, which will be your WHY, the reason for your training. After establishing this goal, specify it in space-time. Short, medium, long term? A short-term achievable goal is often more motivating because you can see the results quickly. If your goal is like that, go for it!
Then you just have to plan your workouts! What will be the training days and how many times a week? In this area, you must still be realistic and build a schedule that will match your style and pace of life. With a specific goal and respecting your schedule, you'll be on the right track and motivated to stay there!
2. Muscle your mind
Having a good mental strength is a major asset to find, maintain or increase your motivation for training. In fact, physical activity and visualization activate the same areas of the brain. Visualization is therefore a very good tool for your physical performance. Program your mind to success! Be positive, believe in yourself and the results will come, motivation too.
We all have the ability to visualize. We all have the ability to make, imagine, create images simply by closing our eyes. These images can be very powerful and beneficial for you!
Visualize the goal you have set for yourself as often as possible. Imagine and feel the sensation that you will once reach this goal! It is important to understand that our thoughts have the power to control us and that they can, yes, give us wings, or on the contrary bring us down. So adopt a positive attitude towards the training and work on your mental strength, which should increase your motivation on the ceiling ... Positive visualization!
3. Find yourself a training partner
It can be difficult for some people to keep motivation by being alone in training. We lack intensity or we just skip the training. Why not find a friend or family member who has a goal similar to yours? This person will quickly become a source of motivation and support! In this way, together you will be able to push your limits further and persevere to two. Group classes are another approach to consider. In these classes, the group effect is powerful and motivating!
